Present Simple Negative
Present Simple Interrogative
I don’t play
You don’t play
He/she/it doesn’t play
We don’t play
You don’t play
They don’t play
Do I play…?
Do you play…?
Does he/she/it play…?
Do we play…?
Do you play…?
Do they play...?
Full forms

Don’t = Do not
Doesn’t = Does not
Short answers

Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
Yes, she does. / No, she doesn’t.

As you can see, we use the subject + do/does + not + infinitive without to to form the present simple negative (I don't play basketball /She doesn't play basketball). We use do/does subject + infinitive without to to form the present simple interrogative (Do you play tennis?/ Does she play tennis?).

Remember that we use the present simple (affirmative, negative, and interrogative) to talk about repeated actions or events, permanent states or things which are always true!
